A lot has happened in the past three months, but we're currently writing from Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia. We wrapped up our adventure in Uganda in mid March; Emma's visa expired, the girls school term ended, and Mike's work needed him closer to home. So we said some sad goodbyes to our Ugandan friends, packed up our apartment, and flew to Tunisia. SIT (Mike's work) has a study-abroad program site here in Tunisia that we've had the pleasure of visiting. We'll visit another SIT site in Morocco before heading back to Vermont in mid-May. November and December have come and gone, and here we are at the beginning of the third term of school. We just finished a wonderful three-week break from school, complete with an incredible trip to Zanzibar (pictures below), and the first Monday back to school was met with some excitement and a lot of trepidation. So much has happened for us here in the past two months. Our connections to the Entebbe community have grown, and our love for Uganda ebbs and flows. There is so much beauty and kindness here, and so much that is hard as well. And each member of our family is having their own experience! For me (Emma), I am truly appreciating the gift of time, slowing down, and really taking in the constantly changing nature of our experience. Ada and Iris flow through the days with many different emotions, from joy to homesickness to boredom back to joy. Mike's job is busy and his hard work makes it possible for us to be here, but it's not always easy! He's writing a lot of musi...
